The Idea of the Labels was Communicated to the Public in Editorial in Griffiths Weekly Newspaper in 1908. By July 1908 the Post Office Felt Necessary to Issue a Directive Entitled Use of Labels Resembling Postage Stamps which Can Only have been Named Sinn Fein.
